Fliegen im legendären Owens Valley. Gestartet bei Walts Point, Horseshoe auf ca. 2700 Meter über Meer. Hoch über dem Startplatz ein Blick hinauf durch das Tal.

Flying in the legendary Owens Valley. Started at Walts Point, Horseshoe to about 2700 meters above sea level. High above the launch site to look up through the valley.

Hoch über den Montgomery und Boundary Peaks. Sehr gute Sicht nach Nordost in den Bundesstaat Nevada.

High on the Boundary and Montgomery Peaks. Very good view to the north east in the state of Nevada.

Bei sehr starker Blauthermik und dementsprechenden Turbulenzen nach einem langen Flug zurück am Ausgangspunkt. Gute Sicht hinunter ins trockene Tal zum Diaz Lake und zum Owens Lake im Hintergrund. Rodeo pur, so turbulent hatte ich es noch nie erlebt. Zum Landen gings nach Lone Pine.

With strong blue thermals and corresponding turbulence after a long flight back to the starting point. Good visibility down into the dry valley to Diaz Lake and Owens Lake in the background. Rodeo pure, so tubulent air, I had never experienced. Then landed in Lone Pine.
