Ein kleiner Flugplatz mit Angestellten, ein Hangar mit Werkstatt und Wohnhäuser, eine super Anlage hat Andi. A small airfield with employees, a hangar with workshops and homes, Andi has a great facility there.
Aber an diesem Tag kein Flugbetrieb, denn Andi hatte sich entschlossen zu heiraten. Herzliche Gratulation! Beim Startplatz Cuchi Corral sehr schlechte Windverhältnisse, keine Möglichkeit für einen Start. Also nichts mit Fliegen für mich. 2009-Chile

Iquique im Norden von Chile, der grösste Sandkasten der Welt. Blick vom Startplatz Alto Hospicio 400 Meter hoch Oben in den Dünen auf die Stadt am Meer. 2009-Peru

In der Nähe von Cusco der Startplatz Mirador del Racchi bei Chinchero auf 3700 Meter über Meer. Near the town of Cusco the launch site at the Mirador del Racchi by Chinchero at 3700 meters above sea level.

Nach dem Start bei sehr guter Thermik hoch über dem heiligen Tal der Inkas. After starting with very good thermals high above the sacred Valley of the Incas.
Auf der anderen Talseite an der Wolkenbasis auf 4400 Meter über Meer wieder einmal "El Condor Pasa"! Wie bestellt wurde ich von zwei Kondore besucht. On the other side of the valley at the cloud base at 4400 meters above sea level again "El Condor Pasa"! As ordered, I was visited by two condors.

Ueber längere Zeit kreisten sie mit mir im selben Aufwind. Herrlich, zusammen mit diesen bis 3.2 Meter grossen Lebewesen zu fliegen. Over a longer period of time they circled me in the same thermals. Nice, together with those to 3.2 meters big creatures to fly.

Etwas tiefer dann sehr gute Sicht auf Hochebenen und einen See im Hintergrund. Es war für mich etwas Spezielles dort zu Fliegen. A little deeper then very good view of plateaus and a lake in the background. It was something special for me to fly there.

2009-Peru

Fliegen im Land der Inkas. Zum Anfang Küstensoaring im gleichmässigen Seewind des Pazifiks. Hoch über Parkanlagen, an den Hotelfronten und einem Einkaufszentrum der Grosstadt Lima. Flying in the country of the Incas. First soaring in the Coastal steady sea breeze of the Pacific. High over parks, the hotel fronts and a shopping center in metropolitan Lima.

Das Projekt help Cuba, von Piloten für Piloten, lief sehr gut an. Piloten spendeten ihre nicht mehr gebrauchten Deltas, Gleitschirme, Helme, Gurtzeuge sowie viel Zubehöhr. Mitte Dezember ging eine Kiste mit ca. 520 Kg. von Vaduz nach Antwerpen/Holland und per Schiff nach Havanna. Nach regem Mailverkehr erhielt ich von höchster Stelle in Cuba ein Ok für den Import. Einen sehr grossen Dank den verschiedenen Sponsoren, ohne diese währe der teure Transport nach Havanna fast nicht möglich gewesen.

Mein reparierter Rücken hat den ultimativen Test bestanden. Er hält! Problemloses Skifahren über frisch verschneite Hänge, so soll es für die nächsten kalten Wintermonate sein. Skifahren ist nicht Fliegen, aber dennoch sehr schön. Dabei über die Hänge flitzen und von kommenden Flugabenteuern träumen!

My repaired back has passed the ultimate test. He holds! No problem when skiing on fresh snow covered mountains, it should be for the coming cold winter months. Skiing is not fly, but still very beautiful. It depends on the speed and coming aero adventures dream!
